You know, I've never really used this site as a blog. I've also never really thought about how I've been posting images of my comic, that is supposed to be in print later, and for sale. So essentially, I'm giving it away for free. Well, if it gets my website more hits, I could care less I guess. This piece was finished in a few hours...roughly...8? But now that I'm finished I feel so much better. I'm actually liking it in correlation to the first page. Hopefully my teacher will feel the same way. Probably not, but we'll definitely see. Hopefully now that I am getting into the swing of posting on here, I'll post some more stuff up as it becomes available.
This is finally it. After roughly 8 hours of working on this just today, and about 5 hours yesterday, I'm finished. I really in the end stared to love this page. Hopefully my teacher agrees.
So I had to redo the whole last page. My teacher liked the idea, but not the execution of everything. These are the final pencils before I go and finish out the lettering tomorrow and ink it. Great. I really wish I didn't have to redo it, but I actually like this one better. Also, this will be edited with a better scan tomorrow since I don't have an 11x17 scanner, but my school does.
This is just a piece I am doing for my graphic novel class. It is a story my friend and I are doing, and I am not sure if this page is finished yet or not in the pencils stage, but it will be tomorrow for sure. This is an awesome experience, and hopefully this comic gets finished sooner rather than later. When the first issue is finished, I'll be sure to post where it can be picked up. Until then, enjoy!
I created this page for a friend of mine online. I was a big fan of this comic and when I found out that the regular artist was leaving for a while I decided I would offer to try my hand at creating some. Dave liked my work and we began collaborating on the Interlude of his book called All Saints. It is a pretty sweet comic, but after the Interlude the original artist came back. Luckily because of school for me, but I really did enjoy my 9 pages I put in to it. Check it out here!
