About Me

My name is Randy Haldeman and I am a senior Illustration major at the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design (PCA&D) in Lancaster, PA. I grew up in Lancaster, PA where I make my living working part-time locally. I might as well have been born with a comic book in my hand. I've been "reading" comics since I was around three years old, and doodling since I could hold a pencil. It wasn't until my senior year of high school that it finally dawned on me: why not become a comic illustrator? This was the same time that my lovely fiancée, Hannah, and I got together which may or may not have something to do with my going to college.

With barely any knowledge of anything that didn't deal with a pencil and a computer, I set foot into PCA&D. After 3 long years I have grown into my style, which tends to lend itself to a more cartoony look. I am trying every day to become competitive, and even released my first comic The Jacket at Baltimore Comic-Con in August of 2011. I have a passion for storytelling both with words and pictures. I plan on continuing comic illustration and storytelling until I can't stand it any longer.
