Chuck Palahniuk - Writing Tips

        First a big thanks goes out to Mark Bertolini for showing this to me during his post about motivation in writing. Chuck Palahniuk (writer of Fight Club and many other jarring novels) posted a blog/essay of 13 Writing Tips, something that has helped me develop a few stories in a couple days. I've read the post about 6 times now, each time taking something more from it. Do you like to write? I suggest you read these tips and keep them close by. When my motivation wanes I need something like this to get me going. I was hoping that for those of you struggling to find a helping hand, that this could help. Just a short post today, but something that will truly give you more than you will ever know. Good luck!

        It has been awhile, but I wanted to just get right to the point. After all, just an "art post" is better than no post. Here is a piece I did for a local museum. The tagline (not shown...obviously) is "Science: Larger Than Life".

"Holy huge mantis..."

        While this piece was not chosen to be on the banners out front, it was chosen to be printed within promotional materials that will be handed out during an exhibit featuring tons of bugs. It is a digital painting done over my sketch. All Photoshop CS4.
